...and many facing Christmas with only a slice of dried bread to look forward to on Christmas day.
This is a chance for you the people of Kilmurry Ibrickane and Miltown Malbay parishes to make a small difference to the lives of the poorest people on our planet. The project aims to organise Irish workers to build a hospice over a 40-day period, to educate, care for and support these people. The hospice is to be located in Missionvale in Port Elizabeth South Africa, which is part of the wider Nelson Mandela Metropole. To achieve this Goal, your financial assistance and generosity is needed. So I encourage you all, in some small way to contribute to this project and lets together leave our legacy on the lives of these people.
“Poverty is not natural… And overcoming poverty is not a gesture of charity.
It is an act of justice”
Nelson Mandela.
Sponsorship cards are available through out the parishes and a church gate collection is organised for 10th and 11th of November 2007.
Thank you all for all your support.
